ScottishPower, a subsidiary of Spanish utilities giant Iberdrola SA, is planning to build a green hydrogen plant in Britain’s busiest container port, in a move aimed at helping replace polluting fuels in powering trains, trucks and ships.
The Glasgow-based energy company said Tuesday that it has teamed up with port-operator group Hutchison Ports to explore the development and construction of a 100-megawatt green hydrogen production facility at the port of Felixstowe in Suffolk, England.
